WaterMiniLab Ltd. founded in 2020. The founders launched the ‘Water MiniLab’ water analysis device after a university ideas competition, which can carry out precise and accurate tests of water quality and some of its chemical parameters without any human intervention.
The unique technology of Water MiniLab can be a revolutionary breakthrough for the wastewater industry, where the treated wastewater leaving the plant must meet increasingly strict limits. Water quality control is not only extremely important for environmental protection reasons, but also critical from the point of view of the operation of municipal sewage plants and some industrial plants. Thanks to the results measured by the Water MiniLab instrument and the decision support provided by the unique software solution, the energy consumption of the equipment used during wastewater treatment processes and the amount of chemicals dispensed can be optimized. As a result, significant cost savings can be achieved in the wastewater treatment process, while the operation becomes more sustainable. After several prototypes and successful pilot projects, Water MiniLab’s technology has reached the level where the focus is no longer on the reliability of the instrument, but primarily on sales and production. The seed investments received in 2022 from the Climate Protection Venture Capital Fund and the Business Infocommunication and Digitalization Capital Fund managed by Hiventures Zrt will enable WaterMiniLab to accelerate sales and production, both on the domestic and international markets.
